Premium connector

A premium connector is a Power Platform connector that is not included with Microsoft 365 — SQL Server, Dataverse, HTTP and custom connectors among them. Using one requires a separate licence charged per user per month, for everyone who uses the app or flow.

This is where Power Platform budgets get away from people. A proof of concept is built on standard connectors, one requirement pulls in a premium one, and the cost silently becomes a per-head monthly bill across everyone who touches the tool.

Check the connector list before you build, not after the pilot succeeds. Standard connectors — SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive — cover a great deal on their own.
