Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)
A CSP is a Microsoft partner licensed to sell, bill and support Microsoft 365 subscriptions on behalf of its customers, owning the commercial relationship rather than just implementing.
For a software vendor, CSPs matter because they are already the invoice their customers pay, which makes them the natural channel for anything sold per tenant.
For a buyer, it is worth knowing whether your consultancy is a CSP: it changes who you pay, who owns your licences and how quickly support escalates to Microsoft.
